The Montlake Community Club is looking for 30 volunteers to help organize Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt! This is a great way to have fun with your neighbors on Turkey Day while giving back to the community: net proceeds from the race will be donated to the University District Food Bank. Responsibilities include assisting with course signs and cones, water stations, course monitoring, garbage collecting, and helping with the kids races. This is a great opportunity for students who need service hours!
Volunteers will be able to choose one or more shifts on November 24 roughly as follows:
- 7 am to 8:30 am: help set course signs and cones
- 8 am to 10:15 am: help with water station, garbage collection, & course monitoring
- 10 am to 12 noon: help with kids races, garbage clean-up, removing course markings, and general clean up
