It seems to me that the reference to using “light rail” for an event like this, is irrelevant or of no use, since Seattle’s light-rail is designed to connect to OTHER neighborhoods and districts — i.e., it doesn’t “stop” within Montlake. How ironic, that on the exact day that Seattle light-rail opened between downtown and the hospital / athletic parts of UW, on that same day “they” cancelled Route 25 which HAD served Montlake VERY CLOSE to the community center, AND they chopped about 93 % of the popular and successful service of “our” Route 43. What will it take, to restore at least ONE of those 2 “lines” / routes? (submitted by Larry Fogdall, 206-325-4828)
