 MONTLAKE HISTORY 
  

The most comprehensive study of Montlake's history was written by UW Professor emeritus Eugene Smith (who has since retired to resident of Oregon) and is titled Montlake, an Urban Eden. It is available in our Seattle Public Library both at the Montlake Branch and at the Central Library downtown and is highly recommended.
