The Montlake Community Club is pleased to announce the Turkey Trot Food Drive, benefiting the University District Food Bank, in conjunction with the Montlake 5K Turkey Trot and Kids Run on Thanksgiving morning. As Thanksgiving approaches, consider helping those in need by dropping off non-perishable food items in the bins at Fuel Coffee, Mr. Johnson’s Antiques, or Pub Montlake.
Community response to Turkey Trot has been overwhelmingly positive. Now let’s put some of that Montlake energy to use by clearing out our cupboards or picking up some extra food to donate from Mont’s or the Montlake Boulevard Market.
The University District Food Bank provides individuals and families who are in need with food and access to a network of community resources that helps them achieve self-sufficiency. It operates a walk-in food bank four days a week to individuals and families from across Northeast Seattle. See a list of the items most in need.

Matt Johnson says
I hope the U District Food bank requires multiple trips to the antique shop, replacing full donation bins with more to be filled. Please begin to donate this Wednesday(11/9) during regular store hours. A sincere thank you to Sharsti and those responsible for organizing this worthy cause.
