 Montlake 5K Turkey Trot & Kids Run
U-District Food Bank Fundraiser

Two things to remember today:
1.) Fall Back, and
2.) Sign Up for the Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot & Kids Run! Early Bird rates end today.

Event proceeds benefit the University District Food Bank. Last year the 5K and Kids Run raised $10,000. We hope to double that donation this year.

5K starts at 9:30 am
The 5K starts at E Lynn St & 25th Ave E, not far from Fuel Coffee Shop. It will make a loop through the scenic Washington Park Arboretum.  Course is likely to use the new Arboretum loop trail, but we are waiting to get final confirmation from Seattle Parks and Rec.

Kids Run begins at 10:30 am
The Kids run will start at the same place as the 5K and make one loop through the Pinetum (1-mile). Walkers and strollers welcome.

Other Details

  • Every runner gets a free t-shirt
  • Race will be timed by Rivalry Events
  • Bib and t-shirts can be picked up on Wednesday, Nov 22nd, from 10AM-6PM at Glam & Tonics as well as on race day starting at 8AM

Don’t want to walk/run but want to help? We are looking for volunteers to help on event day. This is sure to become a neighborhood tradition–get involved! Please email turkeytrot@montlake.net if interested.

New this year:  We will be having a raffle for great prizes from our sponsors, which include $50 gift certificates and lasagna dinner for 10 from Cafe Lago.  Every $10 extra you donate to the food bank gets you an entry.  We will also be selling raffle tickets on bib pick up day at Glam & Tonics.  Donations can be made through the race site link and you can donate even if you aren’t signing up to run.  Raffle winners will be announced at 9:15 on race day.  No need to be present to win.
