It’s Seattle’s traditional summer festival. A region-wide barbecue that brings an entire community together in celebration. For over 60 years Seafair has been about community events, parades, Miss Seafair, the Navy and Coast Guard, amateur athletics, airplanes and of course, boat racing. But most of all, Seafair has been about people and it continues to be.
2014 Seafair weekend also provides thrill seekers with the return of the incredible Blue Angels. The Air Show at Seafair will also feature spectacular civilian and military performers, including some new and returning favorites to astound the Lake Washington audience.
Traffic Alerts:
Interstate 90 will be closed to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, eastbound and westbound, mainline and express lanes, between Interstate 5 in Seattle to Island Crest Way on Mercer Island:

* The bridge highrises will still be accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. However, no one on foot or bike can travel beyond the highrises up to 30 minutes prior to posted closure times.
