Kicks off at Fourth Avenue & Union Street
Join us for the 40th annual Seattle Pride Parade, held at 11:00am, June 29 on 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle. The 2014 theme is Generations of Pride, and it will honor those who fought the early battles and those continuing to advocate for equality in changing times.
Celebrity Grand Marshal George Takei will join a plethora of local and regional GLBTAQ advocates and champions for the parade, and pioneering band Lavender Country, considered the first out and proud LGBTQ country band, will contribute their sounds to the music of today.
The parade should take about 2.5 hours, and it will end at Second Avenue and Denny Way near Seattle Center. Viewers are encouraged to watch the parade from the sidewalks, leaving the street open for the parade.
