Montlake Elementary needs a crossing guard to enable school children to safely cross the intersection of 24th Avenue East and E. McGraw Streets. In addition to making it safer for these students, a crossing guard will completely eliminate the need for one of our school buses and help us further reduce our carbon footprint. Last year, Montlake Elementary won an award from Washington Green Schools for achieving a Level 4 rating – one of only two elementary schools to earn this distinguished benchmark.
The requirements for being a crossing guard are simple. Interested applicants should:
· be able to pass a Criminal History Background Check
· be available to work in the morning and afternoon on school days
· be reliable and dependable
· be willing to work in any weather
· like working with kids (and families!)
· the pay is $12.33/hour for two 30 minute shifts per day, school days only
