Per Seattle Neighborhood Greenways:
“So, what’s Silly Hilly?
The brainchild of Merlin Rainwater, Silly Hilly will be a family-focused event designed to crowdsource research on the best greenway route for walking and biking from Montlake to North Capitol Hill. Groups will set off on scavenger hunts to document and photograph ridiculously steep hills, sidewalks without curb cuts, scary intersections — as well as more moderately steep hills, good sidewalks, calmer streets, and other wonky things while donning festive hats, blowing kazoos, and exhibiting other silly behavior. McKayla Dunfey is bringing her organizing talents to the project, and you can help her, Merlin, and others make it happen; watch this list for an announcement of an upcoming planning meeting. You can also come to the event – with or without a child in tow – and help identify the sanest route for the greenway while having a very silly time.
The event is tentatively scheduled for Sat, April 26, at 2 p.m.”

The Silly Hilly will run from 2-4 pm, starting at Montlake Elementary:
Copied from the website listed below:
The Silly Hilly is a fun, inclusive, family-friendly ride/walk to explore potential greenway route options for the northern segment of the Central Area Neighborhood Greenway between John and 520.
The fun starts at the Montlake Elementary School playground, where participants will be divided into teams upon arrival. Teams will ride or walk one of four route options while taking pictures and completing a scavenger hunt along the way.
At Miller Park (our finish line), we’ll have kid-friendly games, prizes and refreshments, as well as opportunities to share ideas on which greenway route makes the most sense!
