Driver alert: Montlake Bridge lane closures this Saturday & Sunday
Drivers planning to use Montlake Boulevard (SR 513) this weekend should prepare for possible morning delays and leave extra travel time. WSDOT will conduct its annual inspection of the Montlake Bridge. From 6 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, the right lane of northbound Montlake Boulevard will be closed. As well, from 6 to 11 a.m. Sunday, April 13, the right lane of southbound Montlake Boulevard will be closed.
The closure allows WSDOT bridge crews to take a good look and ensure that the bridge is operating as it should be.
Before leaving the house, drivers can check current travel conditions by downloading the WSDOT mobile app, visiting the Seattle Traffic page or by dialing 5-1-1.

Does anybody know if pedestrians will be allowed to cross the bridge during the closure?

Yes – Bicyclists and pedestrians will have access across the bridge.
