Art patrons, urban farmers and purveyors of fine edibles! Lovers of beneficial insects, books and live music! Feast your EYES and fill your STOMACH on Friday, May 29th and indulge in all of the visual and flavorful delights at Montlake Elementary’s 3rd Annual Eat Real and Art Walk. Behold spectacular student art work and witness the unveiling of the new Insect Hotel and the awesome release of 3,000 ladybugs. Tap your toes at the much anticipated opening ceremony performed by our musical k-3 students.
El Chito Tamales
This year the food offerings at Eat Real will be better than ever. Montlake Elementary welcomes the return of the El Chito Tamales. In addition, the fabulous Carla from Cafe Lago will be on hand with meatball subs and eggplant subs. Enjoy amazing homemade ice cream from Big Spoon.

And don’t miss the Rain Shadow Meats hot dog stand – brought to Eat Real for the young and picky, but pleasing to everyone. The evening also includes school garden tours, plant sales, a small farmers market, live music from past graduates, UW Bookstore sale, and the ever popular urban farm animal petting zoo.
The party starts at 5 and ends at Dusk. Come with an empty stomach and a wallet full of cash.
