On Sunday, Aug. 9, approximately 1,000 riders participating in Fred Hutch’s 3rd annual Obliteride will be riding through Montlake.
Neighbors are asked to look out for cyclists and cheer for riders along Fuhrman and Boyer.
Obliteride has five routes ranging from 10 to 150 miles, so everyone can participate. All routes start at Fred Hutch and end at Gas Works Park.
A new family-friendly 10-mile route loops Lake Union and benefits women’s cancer research at Fred Hutch.
People interested in cheering riders on can find more info and maps of the routes here: www.obliteride.org/ride/weekend-details#friends-&-family.
If you are interested in riding, registration is still open at www.obliteride.org.
Thanks to Obliteride’s generous sponsors, like University Village, 100% of every penny raised goes directly to lifesaving cancer research at Fred Hutch.

The links in this post didn’t work but just going to Obliteride worked OK.
