A reminder to all Montlake residents to please complete a short survey from WSDOT by tomorrow (Tuesday, April 4). Don’t miss your chance to be heard on the next phase of the SR520 construction and WSDOT’s draft Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan.
Here are some of the things your neighbors are calling out to WSDOT in the survey:
- The Draft Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan does not address the unsafe conditions for pedestrians and bicyclists now nor during the entire construction period
- Don’t take the Montlake Blvd Market and gas station, a vital community resource (Write this in as a priority when asked)
- We need reinstated service on the #43 bus to be connected to our neighbors and for access out of the neighborhood when construction begins
- WSDOT’s plan shows a #43 bus under “Transit Operations,” but this route has been hacked away so severely as to be nearly unavailable. Other routes are long gone and for most of us, getting to/from downtown or even Cap Hill with public transportation has become a mess.
The survey is online here.
Background information and materials WSDOT presented on March 22 about the draft Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan are posted here.
