Hi Heather and team!
I am on the Montlake Elementary PTA and would love to include information about what’s happening in our local, public school. Please let me know if possible. Thanks!
Ashley

I reached out to you last year a couple of time about doing cleanups work in the Montlake neighborhood, and your president said they would do something. As far as I know, nothing has been done. Are you going to do something about putting together a volunteer cleanup effort?
In particular, the medians on Montlake are a MESS, as are the medians on NE Pacific. It’s embarrassing when visitors come to town to drive down those streets. Also, lots of litter and trash pickup needs to be done. It’s great you sponsor a race every year, but that doesn’t do much good for the neighborhood’s appearance or home values.
Trash and litter are only going to get worse as the 520 lid is completed and more and more people use the new park and bike paths. More people = more litter. The time is now to get ahead of the problem becoming worse.
I am happy to get involved, but I can’t do this without the support of our “neighborhood association” — you guys.
Jon,
Hello! I am happy to schedule time to talk, I see that I emailed you three times last year to set time, but we never connected. The MCC is an all volunteer organization, so we prioritize the efforts that receive the most interest. The Turkey Trot has been a very popular community event that drives community engagement and has raised over $150,000 for the University District Food Bank. I do know several families that have been regularly picking up trash and helping with clean up efforts in Montlake, so I do believe that is a priority for many neighbors as well.
Thank you,
~Heather
