We’re having a garden work party this Sunday, June 5th at the east Montlake Community pocket park (SE corner of 24th and Boyer), 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM. Come to enjoy this beautiful garden and help with its maintenance (weeding and pruning). Bring friends, garden tools, and work gloves.

So happy to see this continued community engagement. I lived on Boyer (‘97-‘01) and used to spend weekends working that lot and trying to keep it clean of trash, and the path passable for bus riders.
Hope there are plenty of others that show.
Both this pocket and the sliver park at 23rd and Newton, need some love. The 23rd & Newton project was done in ‘01. Doesn’t look like it’s been maintained since. I was recently there on a tour of UW with my kids. Hours were spent grading and planting natives & pollinators.
Miss our Montlake living!
