Join neighbors for music and tasty treats at Oxbow each Friday from 4-6pm.
The series will run from June until August.
More details below and at oxbowmontlake.com/events
August 6th is “Seattle Night Out” which is part of a national event promoted by Seattle Police Department and Crime prevention. This is a chance for neighborhoods to come together for an evening block party.
Night Out – Police | seattle.gov
Registration closes 7/28!
In Montlake, we currently have one block party registered for that evening. If you’d like to attend the Montlake Parkside Block Party at the Tot Lot, sign up here: https://forms.office.com/r/mmM7DFSnjm
If you’re planning on hosting a block party for your part of the neighborhood, and would like it promoted here, please respond to this post!
Did you that that there is a community owned and managed park, right here in Montlake?
The Gateway Parks (at the southeast and southwest corners of Boyer and 24th Ave) belong to the Montlake Community Club and are maintained by community volunteers for the enjoyment of the whole Montlake community. If you haven’t had a chance to visit them, take a walk to check them out!
Volunteers are needed to help with Spring maintenance in the East Gateway Park, including weeding, pruning, battling the left-over bluebells, trimming back the daffodils, cleaning up the steps, and getting the corner behind the orange fencing back to looking decent. If you have some free time between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturday June 8th, your help would be appreciated! Bring garden tools and work gloves if you have them, though some extra supplies will be available if you need them.
The upcoming work party is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and to learn more about the wide variety of native plants in the East Gateway Park. We hope to see you there!
**Correction! Art walk is on Thursday June 6th, not June 5th**
On June 6th from 5-7pm, come to Montlake’s Business District for an evening of new art.
Works of Jeff Peters and Gretchen Gammell will be on display at the newly opened Hall Spassov Gallery and Oxbow.
Come meet the artists, view art, meet neighbors, and enjoy light refreshments from Fast Penny Spirits and Oxbow.
Every Friday evening from 4-6pm, you can enjoy Jazz, pizza, pastries, wine and beer at our neighborhood bakery.
There are only two more weeks in the Spring Series.
May 17
May 24
Kids are welcome and a section of the shop is dedicated to coloring and fun!
Did you miss the Spring Series? Don’t fret- There will be a summer series from June 14th – August 9th and fall series September 6th – November 15th. Stay tuned for more details!
