Come on in to the cool Montlake Library, Monday, June 29 from 6:30 to 8:00 to hear your neighbor, J.L. (Jennie) Spohr read from her newest historical fiction, answer your burning questions about “the royals,” and talk about writing her blog and her books.
J. L. Spohr has explored the trials & tribulations of royals since Princess Diana took that fateful walk to the altar. She turned her attention to historical fiction & monarchies after studying the Reformation in graduate school. Her first novel, Heirs & Spares (Plum St. Press, 2013) has received rave reviews, and her sequel, God & King was published in November 2014. Jennie blogs about writing, parenting, and ideas that matter in culture, sprinkled with a random Peep Joust or two. She’s a regular guest on New Day Northwest, has been featured on NPR and was recently on Nancy’ Pearl’s Seattle Channel show, Book Lust. She is an ordained minister & lives with her brood in Montlake.
This Montlake Unabridged event is co-sponsored by the Montlake Community Club and the Seattle Public Library Montlake Branch.
