Currently +80 locations registered for the annual yard sale. Shoppers are welcome from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at locations throughout the neighborhood (just north of Capitol Hill & South of University of Washington). Look for the bright yellow yard signs. Item Summary Sheet & Map by Zone as of October 1st available below. Montlake shops on 24th Ave and each yard sale location will have maps as of Sept 25th. In response to concerns expressed over the untimely closure of the Montlake bridge, we have received the following from Kristin Sandstrom, Communications,
SR 520, Montlake to Evergreen Pt. Bridge – West Approach Bridge North Project
Washington State Department of Transportation:
“I just received word that WSDOT’s bridge-maintenance crew has postponed this closure. Replacement of the bridge’s aging metal deck and other important safety upgrades are now scheduled to begin during an Oct. 24-26 weekend closure of the bridge. Crews will complete the repairs during a second weekend bridge closure that’s not yet scheduled. We’ll be sure to provide notice of that second closure once we have a scheduled date.”
IN OTHER WORDS, THE MONTLAKE BRIDGE BRIDGE WILL REMAIN OPEN THIS WEEKEND.
