Seattle’s Families and Education Levy provides out-of-school activities, pre-school support, physical and mental health services, academic support and interventions, and supports parent and family engagement for tens of thousands of Seattle children and families. Seattle voters passed the first seven-year levy in November 1990, and the current levy will expire in December 2011 unless renewed by voters in this year’s general election.
“Families – YES!” is a coalition of people and groups supporting the levy, and is asking the Montlake Community Club to endorse the levy at our October 12th meeting. (The Montlake Community Club can endorse or oppose ballot measures without affecting our non-profit status.)
