Windstorm Refugee | Union Bay Watch

November 21, 2015 by Larry Hubbell 4 Comments

EB2R1493If you have been out to Foster Island since the windstorm on Tuesday you may have noticed this topless cottonwood tree. I have come to suspect that a female pileated woodpecker may have been roosting in the tree. In any case, she has certainly been renovating a new shelter. See the photos and read the story on:

Union Bay Watch

Have a great day on Union Bay…where nature finds refuge in the city!

Dear Larry, I can’t begin to tell you all that I have learned from you and your Union Bay Watch. That you take the time to share with us and teach us about those treasures that we usually walk by and don’t see. Thank you, Anita
