Since the removal of the left turn lane at Interlaken Blvd and 24th Ave. E. I can no longer turn left , southeast ,to Interlaken if I am going south on24th without people either honking at me or me stopping the traffic in the left lane. The people driving north are already moving in to the center lane to turn left at Boyer. I am forced to use the alley and drive south through the neighborhood to get toProspect which has a light. Sometimes you can not even make a right turn to 24th from Interlaken. Traffic has slowed down a bit coming south in the one lane of 24th but as soon as there are 2 lanes people speed up.

Too many cars avoid back-up traffic at the 5-way traffic ‘circle’ at Boyer, Lynn, 16th, by taking McGraw which has meant speeding traffic along McGraw. There’s also lots of traffic going to the Community Center and to the play fields–also often too fast.
We have quite a few little kids now in the neighborhood plus lots of parked cars, not a good combination with those speeding cars. I worry that the result will someday mean some child gets hurt or killed. How about a ‘residential street’ with a 15 mph sign on McGraw and on 16th? It’s a small area, and won’t hurt people to slow down for a couple of residential blocks.

Cut-through traffic west on Lynn to avoid congestion on 24th is increasing, and will increase further with construction. How about a stop sign at the top of Lynn at 23rd?

After stopping at the new 4-way stop signs at Lynn St and 19th Ave. East, some drivers speed up going north on 19th Ave East. New sign on 19th reminding about the speed limit and children crossing ahead and residential neighborhood might help.
