Arboretum Spring Plant Sale Returns on Sunday, April 6

March 27, 2025 by dniall Leave a Comment

The Arboretum’s beloved Spring Plant Sale returns to the Graham Visitors Center on Sunday, April 6, from 10am to 2pm. It features a unique selection of perennials, shrubs, and young trees, many of them propagated from the Arboretum’s prized plant collections.

Come see the stunning cherries and dogwoods blooming along the Arboretum’s iconic Azalea Way, then stop in at the sale to find beautiful plants for your own garden!

Plant purchases will be tax free for the duration of the sale. All sales benefit core science education and horticulture programs at the Arboretum.

Free admission and parking.

Show your support for UDFB and register for the Montlake Turkey Trot!

October 28, 2022 by ssandall Leave a Comment

Still debating whether you want to register or donate?  Here are some good reasons to do both now!

    • UDFB served 58,000 customer visits and distributed over 2.4 million pounds of food in 2021
    • Their home delivery program reaches almost 400 home-bound customers every week.
    • The backpack program, at 14 nearby schools, provides almost 550 kids with meals and snacks for the weekend when school meals aren’t available.
    • The two UDFB off site food pantries located at Mercy Magnuson Place and North Seattle College provide groceries to another 200 households a week.
    • Two-thirds of food bank households have at least one person working at a job full time but rely on the food bank to help save a few dollars to use for other monthly expenses. One-third of food bank customers report looking for additional employment.
    • ALL net proceeds from the Montlake Turkey Trot go directly to UDFB
