Explore the UW Botanic Gardens – Washington Park Arboretum plant collections to discover some fall season treasures among the long established plantings. This session will include tree and shrub selections for reliable fall color, the interaction of cultural conditions with fall color development, tips for fall transplanting and mulch practices. This interactive program includes classroom and field segments. Overall themes for this series includes: right plant, right place, sustainability, design functions and aesthetics, how plants change in the landscape over time, and incorporating new plants into old landscapes.
