Forest Therapy Guided Walks take participants slowly and intentionally through Nature. The Guide gives a series of place-based invitations to connect to your senses, to yourself, and to others. Through the place-based invitations, the participant(s) gain a deeper appreciation of the many living and non-living things in the Washington Arboretum through moving slowly, and mindfully through the trails.
As the participant moves around through the practice of Forest Therapy, they will gain a deep appreciation of the land in increments of silent, reflective, and imaginative interaction with the area around them.
These walks are entirely outdoors and last 1.5 hours. Participants should dress for the weather, possibly dressing in layers or bringing a rain jacket or umbrella, if the weather indicates. The walk will start and end at the Graham Visitors Center.
