The first wine tasting at Canal Market’s holiday pop-up shop is right around the corner on Tuesday, November 25. Ericka Burke is looking forward to hosting three evening with some great wine vendors, showcasing food-friendly wine for the holidays.
All of the wines will be coming from family vineyards that uphold the same beliefs about taking care of the land as Burke does. Wines—red, white, and sparkling—will be available from far around the globe and the Northwest.
Here’s the lineup for vendors for the three tasting evenings, which will all be held at 2917 Fuhrman Ave E from 5pm to 7pm, with light snacks to accompany the wine.
A&B Imports, with exceptional global wines, and Vinea, with old world wines from more obscure regions, will be at all three events.
- November 25 — In addition to A&B and Vinea: Barrique Imports, with small production wines from small family estates; áMaurice Cellars, a great Walla Walla winery, Bianco-Rosso Imports with food-friendly old world wines, as well as tawny port
- December 9 — In addition to A&B and Vinea: Barrique Imports
- December 16 — In addition to A&B and Vinea: áMaurice Cellars
All of the vendors will bring terroir-driven, food-friendly wines from family vineyards that are perfect for the holiday table. Drop by and find a new family favorite.
The pop-up shop begins Saturday, November 22 and will be open for all your artisan gifting needs Tuesday through Sunday, from 10am – 7pm, all the way up until Christmas Eve, when the shop will close at 3pm.
About Canal Market – Slated to open February 2015
Located at 2919 Fuhrman Avenue East in Seattle’s Portage Bay neighborhood, Canal Market will provide the neighborhood with groceries, fresh produce, household essentials, and specialty gift items, as well as grab-and-go food, and beer and wine. The market will be open daily from 7am to 7pm.
