We are particularly lucky to live in a city that is visited by Trumpeter Swans. Their grace and elegance, their impressive size and their astonishing white feathers are a heart-lifting combination, which is especially refreshing in the middle of a grey winter day. See more on:

This elegant bird breeds in the Arctic, feeds in underwater and spends most of its life at sea. It visited Union Bay for a couple of days this week and could be seen just north of Marsh Island. There are also other birds from the Arctic and a Bald Eagle with its Thanksgiving dinner. See the photos on Union Bay Watch.
