Some of the first spring blooms in the Pacific Northwest are the cherry trees, and the Arboretum’s Azalea Way is lined with these profuse flowers from March through May. As the season marches on, a great variety of azaleas and rhododendrons come into flower, offering a rainbow display of plants as colorful as they are interesting for the stories of their backgrounds and the history of this favorite walking route through the Arboretum.
