This elegant bird breeds in the Arctic, feeds in underwater and spends most of its life at sea. It visited Union Bay for a couple of days this week and could be seen just north of Marsh Island. There are also other birds from the Arctic and a Bald Eagle with its Thanksgiving dinner. See the photos on Union Bay Watch.

Have you noticed which type of young duckling is most common on Union Bay these days? The mallards seem to have been pushed out of first place, at least for the last week or so.
